Exposures
My purpose in photography is to capture those quirky unrepeatable shots always looking for “the right person at the wrong time” Each time I venture out I have in my mind a long list of ideas, things, collections with my Lightroom catalogue looking like a bric-a-brac list I see as much as I can absorb. ( also Music & Books) Shoot anything that catches my eye and I always have my camera with me.
These are my 10 F’s:
- Feet. Wear Comfortable shoes.
- Focus on ideas in mind or story, formulate (see *Find Out.)
- Flirt ! Chat up! Praise, like and flatter.
- Find out what’s on in town, subscribe to newsletters etc. Research… google.
- Familiarise with camera and surroundings practice.
- Fade into crowd.“Au Flaneur”.. dress down…blend in…think camouflage.
- Foresee. Anticipate. What’s coming or what’s behind you, shoot with sun behind you.
- Fishing. Find a scene and wait for the right combination of elements to appear in your frame. Juxtapose.
- Following, or track a subject, get in front too.
- Then there is the last F “Farkkk. @#$%^&”
Despite all the planning and premeditated compositions, be ready for the unexpected to happen – have the camera out, ready to go.
